What makes a solo truly stand out is expression. In his debut at JTC, Unda Alunda shows how to shape expressive improvisations that flow across chord changes, prioritising dynamics, control, and musical storytelling over sheer technical display.

Expressive Changes
Through a carefully structured journey of exercises, licks, and a complete performance piece, Unda shows you how to shape your improvisations from the first note to the final resolution, building tension, increasing intensity, and delivering powerful climaxes with confidence. This class is designed to help you gain full control over expressive lead playing.

You’ll work through 5 targeted exercises that develop vibrato control, bending accuracy, and speed techniques used at the peak of your improvisations. You’ll then explore 20 musical licks, structured to mirror the natural arc of a great solo and divided into four key stages: Setting the Atmosphere, Dynamic Shift, Increasing Intensity and Climax and Resolution. The pack concludes with a full solo performance over Unda Alunda’s track “Into The Torment”, bringing every concept together in a real musical context.

N.B. Although Unda uses a 7-string guitar, this release has been written and designed to be played normally on a 6-string guitar.
