Snare is probably the most distinctive of drum sounds – so you’ll want these to be yours and yours alone. Snare Factory, like all the other Factory 2 products is designed to give you unique and usable drum sounds easily and quickly, and to offer you a range of options to tweak and sculpt your drum sound to be exactly the sound you want. Or use the intelligent randomisation system to generate hundreds or thousands of options and save all the ones you like. It’s about variety, capability AND workflow.

Snare Factory 2 is a sample based instrument – it uses three layers – in each layer you can select any of the 1,040 meticulously sampled different snare drums (way more than any other Snare Drum module we know of), so the combinations of sounds is huge. We’ve sampled a wide range of analog drum kits, iconic drum machines and some obscure drum machines too. Each layer then has a range of modules to affect the sound, a multi-mode filter, an FM processor, a wave-shaper, reverb, delay and a compressor. Finally in the sound shaping area there are a set of modulators, for velocity, pitch and filter frequency. All this gives you complete flexibility in getting the sound you are looking for.
